Lake Ridge is located south of Fairfax County, nestled along the Occoquan River, approximately five miles off of I-95. In the 18th century, the area was home to a number of gristmills. Large-scale development of the Lake Ridge area did not start until late into the 20th century. What started in the 1960’s as a small planned community has grown considerably over the past 50 years.

Old Bridge Road connects Lake Ridge residents heading west to Prince William Parkway. I-95 is the areas major thoroughfare.
